Devil's Poison
Midnight Madness
Beast of Sodom
Neutron Hammer
Born from a mutilated corpse are Australia's primitive underdogs, Vomitor. Back after 8 years with their second album 'Devils Poison', they strike again with another violent assault of blood weeping thrashened death. Using the perfect ingredients of ugly distortion, pain induced bass throbbing and grim-toned falsetto screams - it can't get much better than this for the kvltheads. With unstoppable fury blasting through such tracks as ‘Crimson Tide’, ‘Beast of Sodom’ and ‘Neutron Hammer’, a modern day comparison to the rare Warhammer (UK) demo – ‘Abattoir of Death’ can distinctly be made.
To any (politically speaking) "sane" listener, the production does tend to strain at moments. With particular focus on the weakly mixed vocals, it annoyingly disintegrates the basic guitar riffery used in the songs. However due to the attitude and insane extremity of Vomitor, the likelihood of their genuine fans caring or even noticing is minimal. Professional in the sense of not trying to accumulate a neat, tidy audio-social sound should be given 100% respect every time. Vomitor should be proud of creating such raw intensity that even the toughest of tomcats would run off meowing.
