Long standing Dutch maestros Severe Torture have unleashed their sixth studio offering, pleasantly named ‘Slaughtered’.  Over the years, Severe Torture have not been afraid to stay on the path of highly produced records. Finally reaching a point in their long and struggling career, they have found a niche in the European circuit that puts them on top of many bills and festivals. And with this new offering the ceiling just got higher.

'Slaughtered' begins with a blistering pace that will sure bring the masses to a frenzy when enjoyed in a live environment. The album oozes with great musicianship. Early tracks ‘Unholy Misconception’ and ‘Defective Fornication’ show the class these great musicians are in at the moment. A decade has passed without a single line up change, and it shows in the master class song structures they have come to perform on this record.

Only positive thoughts can come to mind when listening to this album. From start to finish ‘Slaughtered’ will leave you holding your hand up high with signs of the devil and headn banging until your neck snaps. A must for any die hard death metal fan and even fans of more complex song structures and progressive musicianship.
